Sundays at 10:45 a.m.

Infants and toddlers, newborn to age 2 1/2, receive loving care and playtime fun in Calvary’s Under the Sea Nursery. Upon arrival, parents check-in at the Calvary Kids Check-In Desk, then receive a pager at nursery drop-off so you can be notified if your child needs assistance. A large picture window is present along one side of the nursery for you to view your little one from afar if desired.

Toddlers and preschoolers join their families in the Worship Center for Family Worship before being dismissed mid-service for Calvary Kids Preschool. Preschoolers actively explore the Bible and learn of Jesus’ great love for them through music, stories, crafts, centers, and playtime.

Children in Grades K-6 join their families in the Worship Center for Family Worship before being dismissed mid-service for Calvary Kids Worship. This large group worship experience includes music, drama, Bible presentation, and hands-on fun. Every 1st Sunday, Elementary kids join the congregation for the entire service.

Check In and Pick Up Procedures

Each week, families will stop at the Calvary Kids check-in desk for printed tags. Children will receive a name tag that they will wear during class. Parents/guardians receive a parent pass with a unique alphanumeric code. At the end of service, please promptly pick up your child from their classroom. Only parents/guardians with the pass can pick up their child in the classrooms.

Safety

All Calvary Kids team members are carefully screened through an application process, federal background check, and training. Each classroom has a minimum of two adults at all times, and only screened adults are allowed in the rooms.

Age-Appropriate Ministry

Calvary Kids offers age-appropriate classrooms and programs for children from newborn through Grade 6 during Sunday morning services.

Parent Resources

Each week, a Family Connection email is sent detailing the Bible story, Key Passage, and theme for discussion at home. Parents can also visit the Check-In Desk to learn about additional resources from Calvary’s Family Resource Library.

🥜 Allergies

Due to allergies, we ask that no outside food be brought into Calvary Kids Preschool and

Calvary Kids Elementary classrooms during Sunday services. Calvary Kids is a peanut-free/nut-free environment. Please let us know at check-in if your child has an allergy or special need.

Adult Screening Process for Calvary Kids 👥

Calvary Kids values the safety and well-being of children and our adult caregivers. If you are interested in serving, the process includes:

• Meet with Crystal DeAmaral to discuss interest and available opportunities.
• Complete a Calvary Kids Children’s Ministry Application with references.
• Complete a federal background check.
• Participate in a conversation/interview with a children’s ministry leader.
• Review and sign the Church Policies Statement.
• Complete the Ministry Safe Sexual Abuse Awareness Training Program.
• Must have attended Calvary for six consecutive months before approval to work with minors.

👮 Zero Tolerance Policy

The Church of the Nazarene maintains zero tolerance for sexual misconduct or inappropriate behavior with minors. All leaders and staff are expected to act above reproach and in the best interest of children, and to report any suspected misconduct immediately to the proper authorities.
